In today's era, alcohol is widely available and promoted throughout society. Alcohol use continues to be disregarded, by many people. Yet underage drinking is dangerous, not only for the teenagers, but also for society, because the number of car crashes, homicides, suicides, and other injuries caused by alcohol. Young adults who begin drinking early in life run the risk of developing serious alcohol problems later in life, such as, a greater chance to have risky sexual activity and do poorly in their education. Teenagers will feel that education is not important and ignore their responsibilities. By having lie detectors in places and high schools discuss about the dangers of alcohol more, it can decrease the usage of alcohol consumed by people under the age of twenty-one.
